Mid Major Hoops Report would like to introduce rising prospect 2015 Juwan Anderson one of the outstanding Student Athletes selected to All Tournament Team for his overall performance at this year’s Jerry Tarkanian Classic held at Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas, NV.

Here is a post event interview with Juwan Anderson below:

What is your Height, Weight, and Position you play?

Juwan Anderson: 6’0″ 160lbs Point Guard.

How is your season coming along, so far? Is it living up to expectations?

Juwan Anderson: The season is great so far just got home from a national tournament the “Tarkanian Classic” in Las Vegas and We finished in 2nd place losing to the number #1 team in the country by four points in overtime. The season is living upto our expectations but out overall goal is to win a state championship.

Up to this point in your season, who has been your team’s toughest matchup?

Juwan Anderson: Mater Dei in the championship of the Tarkanian Classic.

Which college programs have been to your games and/or practices so far this season?

Juwan Anderson: St. Mary’s, Purdue, USF, Sacramento State, UC Irvine, Weber State, Eastern Washington.

Which colleges are recruiting you the hardest right now? Any scholarship offers at this point?

Juwan Anderson: I hold scholarships offers from Northern Arizona, Portland, Pacific, Florida A&M.

What are you looking for in a College Program?

Juwan Anderson: I’m looking for a college that fits my style of play and a coaching staff that pushes his team for academic success so I can be successful after basketball.

Do you have any college visits planned?

Juwan Anderson: No, not yet.

Any big time camps or showcases you plan on attending after season?

Juwan Anderson: Not yet, I am focusing on my season.

What are your strong points in your game right now? And what weaknesses, do you have that you are working on to become a strength?

Juwan Anderson: My strong point in my game is my IQ, I’m really smart with the ball so i can control the game. I like to make a impact on the game without scoring setting up my teammates to score or execute the play. I view my self a pass first and shoot second point guard. I’m trying to work on my defense because I want to be able to guard any point guard in the country.

What AAU team will you be playing with this summer?

Juwan Anderson: Las Vegas Knicks

How many days a week are you working on your game outside of normal team practices?

Juwan Anderson: Everyday I workout, I try and lift weights everyday. I also like to get up as many shots as possible after a lifting session. On the weekends, I usually play at the park against older guys to work on my game and toughness.

Do you have a twitter and if so, what is it?

Juwan Anderson: @wanny_ton

Last question, Who has had the biggest impact on your life when it comes to basketball, life, and school?

Juwan Anderson: Lou Richie has had the most impact on my life because he understands my life and how hard it is to come from the roughest part of Oakland. It is a blessing to have him in my life and able to lead me in the right direction.

Thank you, Juwan Anderson for your time and good luck on the rest of your season. Please keep in contact with MMHR to keep track of your recruiting.
