One of top 2016 Student Athletes in Northern California, Isaiah Brooks Sheldon HS, (CA) has been showing out grabbing attention from college recruiters and media outlets. Mid Major Hoops Report has invited him to our “Players Corner” where we at MMHR are proud to highlight him and allow him to give us insight on his recruitment at this time…..
Isaiah Brooks(2016), 6’0″ combo guard, is a tough as nails player. He is a good ball handler with both hands. Isaiah penetrates and kicks the ball out well. Also, he has a nice midrange game. – Ladell Hill, Jr.(@coachadvocatus)

MMHR: What AAU team are you playing with this year?
IB: Not sure yet.
MMHR: Describe your game for coaches and fans who haven’t seen you play yet?
IB: I like to get to the basket. But I like to involve my team by getting assists and sharing the ball. I love to drive left and I can shoot the ball from afar very well.
MMHR: What makes you stand out the most from other players you compete against?
IB: I play basketball the right way. I move the ball, cut, screen, get open, and take shots when I need to. I also take pride in my defense, which I encourage more young people to do.
MMHR: What part of your game do you feel like you’ve improved on the most in the last year?

MMHR: Who’s a player in college basketball or the NBA that you really respect?
IB: My favorite highschool player was Austin Rivers. My favorite college player is Dakari Allen, he has given me encouragement. My favorite NBA player as of right now is James Harden, because I feel like I play just like him. My favorite NBA player of all time is Allen Iverson, one of the greatest point guards of all time.
MMHR: Do you prefer Nike, adidas, or Under Armour?
IB: I have always preferred Nike, but I have also worn Jordan’s and Adidas shoes as well. I prefer Nike on the court but I like Jordan’s off.
